- Andrew Dunlap was born in Denver Colorado and moved to Kansas City Kansas where he attended Northwest Jr. High and Wyandotte High School.
- After graduating from High School, he attended Kansas City Kansas Community College. He was elected as President of the Freshman class and was a special assistant to the President.
- He was both the first African American and youngest person to serve on the Board of Catholic Charities for Wyandotte County, Kansas
- He attended Kansas State University and was the first African-American member of the Varsity Debate Team. He was awarded the inaugural Martin Luther King scholarship for academic achievement
- He attended the University of Kansas School of law and was dually enrolled in the Graduate School of Public Administration.
- He served as an Intern in the Wyandotte County District Attorney’s Office
- He was commissioned as an Officer in the United States Air Force where he served as a Staff Judge Advocate.
- He was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal (twice) Longevity medal , overseas service medal and the Air Force Achievement Medal.
- After being honorably discharged, He opened his practice in Dallas Texas.
- He was partner in the law Firm of Landerman, Dunlap & Jacobs and of Counsel to the firm of White Hill, Sims and Wiggins.
- He served as President of the J.L. Turner Legal Association, State Bar Committees and a delegate to The National Bar Association.
- Attorney Dunlap has more than 45 years of litigation experience in various areas of the law as well as a criminal defense attorney.
- Mr. Dunlap has extensive experience in estate planning and is now focusing on that area to help families pass on their wealth and protect their assets.
